
Coloratura soprano Mary Rose Go is currently pursuing her M.M in Voice at UC Santa Barbara. In Spring 2012 she will reprise the role of Amor as well as Damigella in the UCSB Opera Workshop production of Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea.
Other roles include her first role, the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), and Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) with the Pasadena City College Opera Workshop, scenes as Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Aurelia (Captain Jinks of the Horse Marines) and Cunegonde (Candide) with the UCSB Opera Workshop, and the full roles of Nella (Gianni Schicchi) and Amor (L’incoronazione di Poppea) with the Hawai’i Performing Arts Festival.
A student of Kathleen Roland, Go was born in Los Angeles and raised in Honolulu. Ms. Go received her Bachelor of Arts in Asian American Studies from Scripps College, with a minor in music.
